KERRY CARTER
Born on the beautiful island of Trinidad & Tobago and raised in Toronto, Canada. Kerry Carter has been accustomed to new places, new faces and new life experiences. In high school he grew to be a four sport athlete starring in football, basketball, volleyball and track & field. The lessons learned would help mold and shape him for the road ahead, prepared for any obstacle and ready for all challenges. He left for college as the Harry Jerome Award recipient as the top student athlete in Canada and decided to pursue a football scholarship at Stanford University.
A four year starter at running back, captain and leader on two nationally ranked campaigns and one Rose Bowl appearance, as well as earning Pac Ten honors. Throughout college spent countless hours working with kids at the Center for a New Generation as a tutor and mentor.
Graduated in 2003, received a BA in Cultural and Social Anthropology with a focus on Medical Anthropology. Also signed with the Seattle Seahawks to begin his NFL career and continue his dream of playing football. While in Seattle became very involved in the community, acting as a youth ambassador for the Starlight Foundation. Founded the Think Big Foundation in 2004 to begin his own campaign of giving back to the community and now is the Chairman of this innovative new organization.
With interest ranging far and wide, published his first book of poetry in 2006, “Fiery Scenes of Seduction.” Became a partner with Most High Management, a company formed to assist pro athletes with their career and life management, specializing in contract negotiations, marketing, p.r, and financial planning.
Now entering his fifth NFL season, still driven by the pursuit of perfection and hopeful for what the future brings. This student of life is just looking to spread and message that will inspire and uplift those around him, whatever endeavor they may pursue. |
